Third Lichfield school confirms swine flu case
EXCLUSIVE: A third Lichfield school has confirmed a case of swine flu in a student.
Maple Hayes School joins Lichfield Cathedral School and King Edward VI School in the list of education centres affected by the outbreak.
However a spokesperson for Maple Hayes – which is a specialist dyslexia centre - confirmed that the pupil was now believed to have made a full recovery:
“Maple Hayes has had a pupil with a confirmed case of swine flu, but that child is now fully recovered and is expected back in school before the end of term. We have been in daily contact with the Health Protection Agency since it was suspected that a pupil may have flu and have followed their advice and instructions to the letter.”
